In terms of my background, I spent 27-years as an executive in the software technology space, and after all of that time on airplanes and in hotels, the thing I wanted most in my life was to spend more time with my wife Linda, who’s been a roaring success in real estate for many years. So the thing I enjoy most about real estate is that I get to spend the majority of every day now with her. Most days we walk the dog, have breakfast, lunch and dinner together and we help a lot of people with their most important financial investment – their home.
When buyers work with me they find a realtor that brings them a lot of business expertise, experience in buying and selling homes, coupled with good humour.
I’m able to put people at ease and help them through the complexity and emotion of the buying and selling process. On the one hand I like to think I come across as very professional and capable, but on the personal side, buyers like working with me because my sense of humour helps to ease the stress of buying and selling. I have also bought, renovated and sold my own homes numerous times, so I am able to empathize with clients, and understand the emotional importance of these decisions for them as individuals, for their families and for their future.
I have a good understanding of the buying process and can therefore help buyers where it counts most - in the negotiations - to get their home at the right price. With my software industry experience, I’ve been able to establish a team that is truly paperless, so we are able to move faster than most realtors in responding to clients and its positions my clients well to quickly pounce when a home comes up for sale.
I enjoy working with a range of people, from millennial’s, who are able to make decisions quickly, to executives who appreciate my understanding of the investment side of a real estate transaction, to people who really appreciate being led through the process.
