Real estate is a huge investment no matter how you look at it. It is critical when buying and selling houses that you have someone that you have a great relationship with who will help guide you through the process. I understand that the foundation for a successful relationship with a client is honesty and trust. I am likely most known for my non-pressured sales approach to real estate and for being easily approachable. While I understand this is an aggressive market, I appreciate that the best decisions are made when clients are comfortable and feel their agent is searching with them. I treat all my clients the way I would like to be treated. My goal is to provide a level of service and comfort that will stand out and be unique from most. This is a lifelong career for me and I see the people I work with more as friends than clients. I am extremely dedicated and will work around the clock to provide service that is second to none. Personally, I grew up in Guelph playing music in bands at venues around the city. Guelph’s music scene is a very special one and is really what made me fall in love with this city at a young age. We have had so many talented artists start their careers here and some come back to make it their home. I also have a passion for mountain biking and this city has a wonderful network of both rail trails and single track. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! Guelph is a unique and diverse place. The residents here seem to have a connection with each other you don’t normally find in other cities which is why it is usually rated one of the top ten places to live in Canada.

Mike was recommended to me by a friend when I was looking to purchase my first home. I was a nervous first-time buyer and Mike was the perfect fit. He's very personable and easy to talk to. I never once felt pressured to make an offer, which left me feeling at ease on our many, many viewings. In fact, he seemed to read my response to a house very well and offered advice or input when needed. He was flexible with times to visit homes and I always felt that he was doing his best to accomodate anything I needed. I loved the site I was provided to keep an eye on new homes and Mike never failed to send me links to ones he thought I might like (and he was usually dead-on). In the end, he helped me to purchase my first home (which I love!!!) and has continued to touch base from time to time to ensure that I am still happy and enjoying having made such a big decision. I couldn't have asked for more!

With the one he notified me at 9 in the morning as soon as the listing was active, was showing it to me by 10:30, and had an offer in by that evening. My husband and I bought our first home in June of 2014. We began house hunting by attending open houses on our own, and happened upon Mike at an open house that he was hosting for a client. We knew quickly after meeting him that we wanted Mike to be our agent. Mike is not arrogant, or pushy, or a know-it-all, or a stereotypical "salesman" type of guy. On the contrary, he is an honest, professional, hard-working, humble individual who listens to what his clients want in a house. The character of those that we do business with is important to us and Mike has it in spades. He enjoys his job, he works hard at it, and it shows. By the end of our months-long hunt for a house and several offers later (we're rather particular and not willing to overpay for a house), Mike had become a friend that we could trust to guide us through the largest purchase of our lives. As newbies in real-estate, we were quite green. Mike did not pressure us on a single occasion. He gave us advice when we asked, and he made sure that we were truly comfortable with all of our offers (giving us his frank opinion as to whether he thought we had a chance, going over strategies, but never insisting that we should go higher). When we made our first offer on a house, we were under a tight time constraint, and Mike had mere minutes to get the paperwork signed and get to the house to present it. However, he could sense that we were not comfortable signing until we had read through all of the clauses of the purchase agreement. The time crunch didn't phase Mike one bit, he wasn't rushed, and he didn't express any sort of anxiety about the situation, he simply took us through the agreement clause-by-clause…and then rushed as fast as he could to the house. Another thing that we truly appreciated was that Mike quickly picked up on our comfort-level with respect to risk. While so many agents now seem to advise clients to put in offers without conditions, and to put forth offers that are exorbitantly higher than the value of a home, Mike cautioned us against both, advising us that there would always be another house (and he was right!). We always went in with conditions and we only ever offered what we were comfortable with. We bought a house that we are tremendously happy with, for a great price and in a downtown location - we couldn't have had a better (or more fun) first home buying experience. Thanks Mike!
